Review: BarBoss 5085

Because the BarBoss and Drink Machine are identical except for color, the reviews are the same. Vita-Mix has been making the BarBoss for some time and this latest version "Advance" unit is better than ever. So much is made about power that it is easy to forget about design. The Vita-Mix BarBoss 5085 has a newly designed blade called the "Advance" and its unique shape makes the smoothest finished product I have ever seen. The drinks truely "stack" the way they should in the glass making for a great presentation. I also noticed during our demo that not once did the cocktail mix seize up requiring us to bang the container like with other units. The Vita-Mix BarBoss 5085 has (as a bar owner myself) a great feature for speed and customer service - the timer button allows your staff to hit it to start the blending but then they can go take an order or ring up a drink, when the drink is ready the Vita-Mix BarBoss shuts itself off. It is hard to ignore the price but the Vita-Mix 5085 is one of those machines you find room for in your budget. Well worth it in the long run.
